Fire damages shopping complex in WGH

TURA, Jan 29: A raging fire late Thursday night caused extensive damage to shops in Rajabala town of West Garo Hills.
“We received input from Phulbari Fire and Emergency Services on Thursday night that a fire broke out at Rajabala main portion of the market in a complex, in which one grocery shop, one cloth shop and one pharmacy were affected,” said West Garo Hills Superintendent of Police, MGR Kumar.
According to Kumar, the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained.
As many as two fire tenders from Phulbari and one fire tender from Hatsingimari in Assam had to be brought in to douse the fire, which was extinguished finally at 1 am.
