No fresh COVID case; 83 BSF men receive jabs

Shillong, Feb 1: No fresh positive cases were reported on Monday as the COVID-19 scenario in the state has been witnessing a gradual improvement over the past week.
Moreover, six more persons recovered from the disease taking the total number of recoveries to 13,556.
Meanwhile, 83 health workers including doctors and paramedics were vaccinated at the Border Security Force (BSF) Composite Hospital, Umpling here on Monday.
“It was a proud moment for all of us. However, we should continue to take all precautions because the fight against COVID-19 is not over yet,” Dr Ashok Rai, DIG (Medical) BSF, Shillong, cautioned.
After the completion of the vaccination for health workers, the frontline workers of BSF will be vaccinated shortly, he added. (With UNI inputs)
