Satwik, Ashwini break into Top 20

TVS Racing crowned champion
HAMPI, Feb 2: TVS Racing- the factory racing team of TVS Motor Company, finished the 2020 Indian National Rally Championship (INRC) on a high note, clinching the titles across all categories. The final round of the season, which took place in Hampi, Karnataka, witnessed the team racer Rajendra RE secure the top spot in the Group A upto 500cc Class, Samuel Jacob placed at P1 in Group B Super Sport upto 260cc, and Karthik N finished P1 in the Group B Scooter Class. ‘Will play top-10 player at Oz Open’
NEW DELHI, Feb 2: Gearing up to compete at next week’s Australian Open, India’s Sumit Nagal on Tuesday said he has a gut feeling that he will bump into a top-10 player at the first Grand Slam of the season. Nagal has been awarded a wild card entry into the hard court major and he will come to know about his opponent when the draw is announced on Thursday. (PTI)

Fans oppose elite Super League plan
GENEVA, Feb 2: A UEFA-recognized soccer fan group united supporters across the continent Tuesday to oppose plans by some wealthy clubs for a Super League. A statement from Football Supporters Europe denounced “an unpopular, illegitimate and dangerous scheme in the eyes of the overwhelming majority of fans” and was signed by about 100 national and team group.
