The decision was taken during a meeting on Friday at MeECL Inspection Bungalow, Byrnihat.
According to a statement, the meeting was held to confer about matters pertaining to the Assembly polls and also to ensure peace, tranquility and harmony along the interstate border areas during the election time.
The meeting was attended by Ri Bhoi Deputy Commissioner RM Kurbah, West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner T Lyngwa, Deputy Commissioner of Kamrup District (Rural) Kailash Kartik, as well as the superintendents of police (SPs) from the three districts.
