Meghalaya announce squad for Vijay Hazare Trophy

SHILLONG, Feb 9: The Senior Men Selection Committee of Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) annouced names of 15 players including standbys to represent Meghalaya Cricket Association for the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy to be played from of February 20 in Tamil Nadu.
The pre coaching and conditioning camp for the said tournament will be conducted at MCA Cricket ground, Polo, Shillong from February 10 till their departure for the tournament.
Punit Bisht has been named the captain of the squad, while all-rounder Dippu Sangma is appointed as Bisht’s deputy.
Goutam Shome will coach the sqaud and Roof Raja Nongsiej will accompany the team in the Manager’s capacity.
A total of five stand by players were named.
Meghalaya Squad:
Chengkham Sangma, Aditya Singhania, Abhay Negi, Larry G Sangma, Akash Kumar Chaudhary, Dippu Sangma (vice captain), Yogesh Tiwari, Rohit Shah, Shaisngi Lyngdoh, Wanlambok Nongkhlaw, Kilco Marak, Riboklang Hynniewta, Punit S Bisht – (Captain) Guest player approved by BCCI, Sanjay Yadav – Guest player approved by BCCI, Ravi Teja – Guest player approved by BCCI
Stand bys:
Morningstar Khongwir, Johny Sangma, Bamanbha Shangpliang, Wellmanson Passah, Md. Nafees Siddique.
