SHILLONG, Feb 18: The High Court of Meghalaya on Thursday disposed of an application filed by Bison Shylla, brother of Cabinet Minister, Kyrmen Shylla, wherein he had sought anticipatory bail in connection with a case relating to the death of six labourers at a coal pit in Rymbai Elaka of East Jaintia Hills on January 21.
The court took note of the case diary where the investigating officer made an entry dated February 9, 2021 clearly indicating: “…….It is clear that there is no clue of involvement of Tiufill Shadap and Bison Shylla into this instant case and their custody is not required.”
“It is apparently clear that the police are not inclined to arrest him (petitioner),” the Court said while disposing of the plea.
