Contraband seized
On February 25, BSF personnel on patrol along the Indo-Bangladesh border fencing area near BP No. 1253/7-S at Tishang, Nongjri village, East Khasi Hills, noticed movement of unknown persons from a distance. However, when the BSF personnel attempted to stop them, the persons fled. Later, during search at the PO along with police personnel, 23 bottles (100 ml each) of suspected Phensedyl were recovered and during preliminary test, the contraband was confirmed as Codeine.

Theft
Dr. Sushmita Sharma lodged a complaint that on February 25 between 9.35 am and 1.45 pm, unknown miscreant(s) broke into her residence at Nongrim Hills, Shillong, and stole one hard drive, two wrist watches, two iPad WiFi and Rs 7,000 in cash.

Hacked
Manish Kumar Sah lodged a complaint that on February 24, unknown miscreant(s) hacked his PayTM account and reset the password.

Cattle seized
Manoj Kumar, Assistant Commandant, BOP Lyngkhat, lodged a complaint that on February 23 around midnight, BSF personnel recovered eight heads of cattle from near BP No. 1268/4-T, BOP Lyngkhat, East Khasi Hills, and on February 24 around 9.30 pm, another eight heads of cattle were recovered from near BP No. 1262/2-S, BOP Nayabazar, East Khasi Hills.

Theft bid
Fejo K Paul lodged a complaint that on February 17 around 12.30 pm, one Vishal Kumar (23) was caught red-handed while attempting to steal plumbing materials from HQ, EAC (U) AF Compound, Upper Shillong.
