SHILLONG, Feb 27: The International Chamber for Service Industry (ICSI) will hold a webinar on ‘Women Empowerment with Education-focus Northeast India’ on Sunday, which will be attended by students from Sherwood School, Tura.
According to a statement, four students from the school have been selected to take part in the webinar, viz. Tanisha Das, Rupsa M Marak, Sanskriti Kumari Mishra and Sandy Leitanthem.
“This is the first-ever platform given to the students of the North East who would be able to reach out to a global audience. The students of Sherwood school, Tura, are indeed fortunate to avail of this opportunity to reach out to a wider audience and put forward their views on an extremely important issue where women in the North East are on equal footing with their male counterparts, which is yet to be experienced completely in the rest of India,” the statement said.
