Training event on tailoring

MAWKYRWAT, March 3: A month-long training programme on tailoring was organised by the Seng Longkmie Nativity Parish in Mawkyrwat, South West Khasi Hills, on Wednesday.
Speaking as the chief guest, PHE Minister Renikton L Tongkhar thanked the parish for taking the initiative to train the local people in livelihood programme.
He also urged upon the people to not waste the opportunity and partake in such types of programmes which in turn improve their livelihood.
Others who spoke include the parish priest of Mawkyrwat, Fr Friding Kharsyiemiong, secretary of the Parish Pastoral Council, Silvester Syiemlieh, and others.
