SHILLONG, March 27: South Garo Hills and Shillong Cricket Association were victorious on the third day of the Meghalaya Cricket Association’s Inter District U-19 Girls Cricket Tournament 2021 in Nongstoin today.
The morning match witnessed South Garo Hills bat first against West Khasi Hills and make 114/5 in their 20 overs (Marme M Sangma 36; Emisakani Warjri 3/16).
West Khasi Hills were then restricted to 99/8 (Abiezer P Syiem 23; Dianchidora N Sangma 3/7) and South Garo Hills were 15-run victors.

In the second contest, Shillong Cricket Association produced a batting masterclass with player-of-the-match Suruti Kumar Ray leading the way for the second time.

Two of the three wickets were claimed by Ibajanai Wanniang (2/30) for South West Khasi Hills.
The chase saw South West Khasi Hill’s batters get a few starts but they could not push on against tough opposition, many of whom have played for the state team.
Indarika Kharwanniang top-scored with 31 as South West Khasi Hills finished on 104/5, giving Shillong victory by 85 runs.
