Coal truck overturns
On March 28 around 4.30 am, one truck (BR-06PD-3591) driven by one Devinder Das along with his handyman, viz. Kundan Rai, overturned at 3½ Mile, Upper Shillong. As a result, the driver sustained minor injuries and was rushed to Shillong Civil Hospital. During probe, it was found that the truck was illegally transporting coal without challan.

Cattle seized
NC Panging, Coy Commander, 30 Bn., BSF, BOP Lyngkhat, lodged a complaint that on March 24 around 8.25 pm, BSF personnel recovered two heads of cattle from near border Outpost Lyngkhat, East Khasi Hills.

Break-in
SM Khongwir lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah Police Station that on March 20 around 5 am, one unidentified miscreant entered inside her building at Don Bosco, Main Road, Laitumkhrah, and stole copper wires. The incident was captured in the CCTV installed in the building.
