Workshop
The office of the District Sports Officer, East Khasi Hills, will organise a two-day workshop to acquaint people with the know-how of basic lifesaving techniques. According to a statement, the workshop, viz. Workshop on Basic Safety Survival Technique will be held on Thursday at Prime Start Up Hub, JN Stadium, Polo, and on Friday at Crinoline Swimming Pool, Shillong from 10 am. Meanwhile, the people willing to partake have been asked to register themselves at the office of the District Sports Officer, J.N Stadium, Polo, on April 5 and 6.

Cultural event
The general body meeting of Rabindranath Tagore Club, which was held on Friday, has decided to organise the 13th Inter Shillong Cultural Event 2021 during the months of May, June and July. During the meeting, office-bearers were also elected. According to the statement, Pankaj Deb has been elected as the president, Khimraj Joshi as the vice president, Rajdeep Das as the general secretary, among others.

Deferral
The Meghalaya Police has deferred the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which was scheduled from April 5 at 1st MLP Bn., Mawiong, and April 19 at 2nd MLP Bn., Goeragre. Meanwhile, the candidates have been requested to follow the updates on SMS and instructions. The aforesaid instructions will be made available on the website of the Meghalaya Police.
