People fined for flouting COVID protocols

SHILLONG: District Administrative officials have fined people Rs 2000 in Khyndai Lad today for flouting the mandatory mask wearing order amid a spike in COVID-19 cases in the city.

Meghalaya recorded 100 fresh cases on Wednesday alone, while the county is reeling with an all time of high of 2 lakh fresh cases today.
