Meet talks issues of crimes against women, COVID

NONGSTOIN, April 16: The West Khasi Hills Police on Friday conferred about the issues of crime against women, ill impact of drugs and the urgency to tackle the spread of COVID-19 with headmen from different villages and women organisations of Riangdo, Mawshynrut.
Further, the headmen, along with the women organisations, agreed to work in tandem with the police to tackle crimes and sensitise the villagers of the adverse effects of COVID-19 and how to check its spread.
A public announcement was also made to sensitise people on the COVID-19 SOPs announced by the government.
