Night curfew extended until further orders in SWGH

TURA, April 19: In view of the resurgence of Covid-19 cases in the state, South West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ramakrishna Chitturi has extended the continuing night curfew from 10 PM to 5 AM in the district with effect from April 19 until further orders.

While exemptions issued in the fresh order remain the same, other permitted activities have been revised. As per the new order, the maximum number of persons allowed in places of worship, during religious, social and private gathering and for spectators during outdoor sports is 50% of the seating capacity. Cinema Halls have also been directed to operate at 50% seating capacity, while shops, restaurants and bars are to close at 9 PM.

These above mentioned services shall also strictly comply with all protocols and procedures including social distancing besides other guidelines already in place.
