137 fresh cases reported in state

SHILLONG, April 20: The trend of high number of cases continued on Tuesday with 137 new cases in the state.
Out of the 137 fresh cases, 111 cases were reported in East Khasi Hills, nine in Ri Bhoi, seven in West Jaintia Hills, four each in West Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills and one each in East Jaintia Hills and South West Khasi Hills.
The state also recorded 34 recoveries on Tuesday including 26 in East Khasi Hills, three each in Ri Bhoi and West Garo Hills and two in West Jaintia Hills. The total number of recoveries stands at 14,105.
Out of the 857 active cases in the state, 618 are in East Khasi Hills, 119 in West Jaintia Hills, 56 in Ri Bhoi, 22 in West Khasi Hills, 19 in East Jaintia Hills, 14 in West Garo Hills, seven in South West Khasi Hills and one each in East Garo Hills and North Garo Hills.
The pandemic has claimed 154 lives so far.
