On April 19 around 6.35 pm, acting on inputs, police and VDP members apprehended one Eugene Marshangbai alias Jin from Siejlieh, Mawtohthang, West Khasi Hills, and seized 0.60 grams of suspected heroin from his possession.

Debojit Roy lodged a complaint that on April 18 circa 12.30 am, Star Cement security personnel/patrolling team apprehended one Rilang Shadong while he, along with his two accomplices in one Maruti car (ML-05N-5324), were stealing diesel from stationary dozers and excavators at Khub mines area, East Jaintia Hills. However, his accomplices managed to escape.
