Awareness prog on pig farming

SHILLONG, April 26: The Na Rympei Self-Help Group, Nongkrem, recently organised a programme on ‘Career Guidance and Awareness Programme on Piggery Farming’ at Iewpomtiah village in East Khasi Hills.
Sponsored by Meghalaya Government under Chief Minister Youth Development Scheme 2018-19, the programme focused on the aspect of pig farming as a profitable venture among rural masses. The attendees were informed that pig farming has become one of the most important livelihood options in Meghalaya. They were also encouraged to partake in the venture.
