NONGPOH, May 21: Umroi MLA, George B Lyngdoh, has advocated for setting up of community isolation centre in every village and argued that this is the only way to break the transmission chain of COVID-19.
Lyngdoh said this during his visit to the community isolation centre at Khweng village on Friday.
The MLA also urged the locals to exercise caution and follow government protocols as the hospital bed occupancy continues to near saturation.
He also expressed concern over the stigmatisation of Khweng villagers by people from other villagers when the former would go to buy essential commodities.
