Conrad submits GoM report to finance minister

SHILLONG, June 7: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has submitted Group of Ministers (GoM) report to Union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, in New Delhi.
Conrad, who is the convener of the eight-member ministerial group, expressed gratitude to the finance minister for entrusting the GoM with a crucial responsibility.
The GoM, during its exercise, made an attempt to lower the GST rates so that more relief can be extended to people in these trying times.
The GoM had earlier also examined the need for GST concession/exemption on COVID vaccines, medicines and drugs for COVID treatment, testing kits, medical grade oxygen, pulse oximeters, hand sanitisers, equipment such as concentrators, ventilators, generators, PPE, N-95 and surgical masks, temperature-measuring equipment, et al, required for COVID relief.
