MPYC wants fuel cost reduced

TURA, June 11: The Meghalaya Youth Congress (MPYC) on Friday urged the central government to rollback the hike in petrol and diesel prices terming it injustice.
MPYC president Richard Marak said that, this year alone, the fuel prices increased a whopping 47 times and since last year the prices of petrol and diesel have increased by Rs 26.79 and Rs 25.02 respectively.
Marak also pointed out that petrol, which now costs more than Rs 90 per litre in Meghalaya has even crossed Rs 102 a litre in some places in the country.
