Children receive essential items

SHILLONG, July 3: The Shillong YMCA, in collaboration with Y’s Men International, National Council of YMCAs of India and the YMCAs North East India region, distributed essential food items to over 350 children under the 24 hrs Crisis Management Centre for Children at Nongmensong, Shillong, on Saturday, marking the National Christian Day. The COVID -19 Relief Support, as part of the ‘Heal the World’ project, was led by the president Dr P Lyngdoh, secretary DL Warjri and accompanied by members of the Boards of Directors of the YMCA Shillong. It may be mentioned that the project was funded by the National Council of YMCAs of India.

A social activist, viz. Michael Kharsyntiew donates essential commodities in the city. It was informed
that the activist has distributed essential items in
502 households at various parts of the city.
