SHILLONG, July 9: City-based pediatrician Dr. D. Najiar allegedly died by suicide on Thursday evening at her residence at Pohkseh.
The 32-year-old doctor, working in Children’s Hospital, was reportedly suffering from depression.
The incident came to light after some people went to her residence after she failed to turn up for duty. Her body was found hanging from the ceiling.
Police has registered a case of unnatural death and have ruled out any foul play in the case.
