Meghalaya’s gift to Bangladesh

SHILLONG, July 9: Taking the “food diplomacy” to the next level, Meghalaya will gift spices, turmeric and organic products to neighbouring Bangladesh in response to a gift of 300 kg of the exquisite Haribhanga variety of mangoes from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma thanked the Bangladeshi PM for the mangoes, which he said were distributed among his Cabinet colleagues and senior officials.
