Body fished out of Kynshi river

NONGSTOIN, July 13: A body was recovered from Kynshi river under Laitnamlang village in West Khasi Hills on Tuesday morning.
Sources said that the body was of a 52-year-old man from Pariong village identified as Damilton Hoojon, who had gone for fishing to the river on Monday afternoon and did not return home.
The next morning, relatives of the deceased along with villagers headed out to search for the man but found his body in the river.
On receiving information, the police rushed to the spot and subsequently completed all legal formalities.
The family members have ruled out foul play in the case. After autopsy and inquest, the body was handed over to the family.
