SHILLONG, July 13: KHNAM MLA Adelbert Nongrum has called for the defenestration of Power Minister James Sangma following the allegations of irregularities in the Power department. “From Saubhagya to sab bhag gaya, and as per principle, the government at first should remove the power minister,” Nongrum said, reacting to a barrage of allegations of irregularities in the Power department.
Recalling that the government had promised of bringing accountability and transparency in the governance, the MLA suggested the government to first remove James and then start the probe forthwith.
The MLA also said that the government must take measures to bring clean governance if they feel they are responsible to people.
