City school shines in ICSE, ISC exams

SHILLONG, July 24: With the declaration of Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and Indian School Certificate (ISC) board examination results on Saturday, Pine Mount School has announced of achieving 100 per cent pass percentage.
A statement from the school informed that from the from the Humanities department (ISC), the toppers are Riiaka N Chyne (95 per cent), Pearl Aimesha Diengdoh (94.75 per cent) and Hadassah Bajanai Sumer (94.25 per cent).Likewise, from the Science department (ISC), Candida Alicia Dkhar scored 90 per cent, Cassandra Daniell Shabong scored 85.75 per cent and Ivilin Manner scored 84.75 per cent. From the Commerce department (ISC), Sairupa Bani Bareh scored 81.75 per cent, Kim Cathyrine Khongsai scored 69.25 per cent and Ruenna Rachelle Kharrubon scored 68.75 per cent.
Meanwhile, the school toppers of the ICSE examination are Ishita Tharad, who scored 96.2 per cent, Sahima Sachdev, who scored 94.6 per cent, and Naveda Noor Kharnongrum, who secured 93.8 per cent.
The board has, meanwhile, said that just like last year, there will be no merit list this time too in view of the exceptional circumstances in which the results have been prepared.
It may be mentioned that a total of 2,19,499 candidates across India, including 54.14 per cent boys and 45.86 per cent girls, appeared for class 10 exams this year, while 94,011 candidates, including 53.67 per cent boys and 46.33 per cent girls appeared for class 12 exams. (With inputs from PTI)
