Boxing: Lovlina Borgohain reaches quarter finals

GUWAHATI, July 28: India’s Lovlina Borgohain who hails from the state of Assam, reached the quarter-finals of Women’s Welterweight boxing in Tokyo Olympics 2020.

23-year-old Indian boxer Lovlina Borgohain brought cheer to the country on an otherwise disappointing day at the Tokyo Olympics on Tuesday.

The first woman boxer from Assam at the Games came up with a commanding display over experienced Germany pugilist Nadine Apetz at the Kokugikan Arena on Tuesday.
