CRPF pays homage to martyrs on Raising Day

SHILLONG, July 27: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), on Tuesday, paid homage to the martyrs of the force who laid down their lives in service of the nation as part of the celebration of its 83rd CRPF Raising Day, which was held at the 67th Battalion Headquarter at Polo here.
A ceremonial guard of honour was also presented to the Inspector General of CRPF, Sonal V Misra, on the occasion.
Besides a host of programmes, homage was paid to the martyrs of the Force who laid down their lives in serving the nation.
On the sidelines, Commandant Alok Bhattacharya and officers and personnel of the 67th Battalion, CRPF, also organised a tree plantation drive at Law Lyngdoh Special Reserve Forest, Nongkseh in coordination with the Forests and Environment department.
