7 fixed testing centres in Tura to be ready today

TURA/MAWKYRWAT, Aug 1: With COVID-19 positive cases continuing to rise unabated in Tura town, as many as seven fixed testing sites under Tura Urban Areas in West Garo Hills have been notified by the district administration which will be functional starting Monday.
According to the notification in this regard, the fixed testing centres are located at Chandmary TMB testing centre, Gorkha LP School, Police Reserve, Tura Thana area, Legal Metrological Department, Dakopgre near DTO Office, Matchakolgre LP School, Dobasipara Community Hall, Hawakhana (Old Maruti Garage) and at Hindi Government LP School, Nakam Bazaar.
“All the seven testing centres will be testing with RAT & samples for RT-PCR will also be collected as per the requirements and free of cost. The testing sites will be open from 10 am till 3 pm (Monday to Saturday),” the notification said.
It also requested all symptomatic, asymptomatic and high-risk contacts to visit the testing centres as per their areas of convenience.
According to the notification, all the testing sites will also provide home isolation kits for those detected positive on the spot and for RT-PCR positive individual as well, which can be collected by family members on producing the positive report of the patient during testing hours.
