232 fresh cases, four deaths

SHILLONG, Aug 20: The COVID-19 situation in the state is witnessing a gradual improvement with lesser number of cases being detected in the past few days. On Friday, Meghalaya registered 232 fresh cases while four patients succumbed to the infection.
Three of the deceased were not vaccinated.
Meghalaya now has 3,373 active cases while the death toll has gone upto 1,261.
There are total of 73,217 confirmed cases in the state out of which 68,583 have been declared cured/discharged. 276 patients recovered from the infection on Friday.
