MLCU offers scholarship to 100 students

SHILLONG, Aug 29: In a bid to provide succor to those severely affected by the pandemic, free undergraduate education for as many as 100 students belonging to families facing economic hardship will be provided by Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) for the academic year 2021-22, a statement issued here said. “These students will be provided a full scholarship for 3-4 years of the bachelor’s degree. Only a nominal application fee of Rs 100 will be levied,” it added.
Preference will be given to a child of a parent who has recently lost their job or livelihood because of the COVID-19, single mothers, orphans, transgender or disabled children in needy circumstances. Applications will be accepted between August 28 and September 13. Details can be availed from the university website or by calling the admissions helpline 9362703349/9863594249.
