Diamond jubilee
Sankardev College will organise an online inaugural programme to kick start its year-long Diamond Jubilee celebrations on Thursday. Arts and Culture Minister Sanbor Shullai has agreed to attend the occasion as the chief guest alongside guest of honour DP Wahlang, Additional Chief Secretary. The theme of the year-long celebration is ‘Educate, Inculcate, Propagate’.
Training
More than 55 Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Educators from Meghalaya attended the state-level training on deafblindness on Tuesday, which was organised by Bethany Society in association with Sense International India and SSA, Meghalaya. The topics covered during the training programme included ‘Inclusive Education, Inclusive Lesson Plan Designing, Barriers Affecting Learners with Visual Impairment and Additional Disabilities, and use of ICT’.
Lok Adalat
The Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, West Garo Hills, has informed that the National Lok Adalat will be held on September 11 on the premises of the District and Session Judges Court, West Garo Hills.
