Cycle rally
The Assam Rifles will organise Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav Cycle Rally from Shillong to New Delhi as part of its 75th Independence Day celebrations. According to a statement, the cycle rally will be flagged off on Sunday at 7:30 am from DG Assam Rifles Headquarters, Laitkor, Shillong. “The Rally will culminate at New Delhi with numerous halts en route,” the statement informed.
Teachers’ Day
The Rotary Club of Orchid City Shillong celebrated Teachers’ Day by honouring 16 teachers from Meghalaya Hindu Mission Secondary School with ‘Shiksha Samman’.
