Prime accused of heist in EGH police net

SHILLONG, Sep 11: East Garo Hills Police recently arrested the prime accused involved in a robbery that took place in August.
Taking to its social media handle, the district police informed that following the heist, a case was registered and a team was subsequently dispatched to Jharkhand.
With the assistance from Taratand Police, the East Garo Hills Police was able to successfully nab the prime accused, Pappu Thakur (22) of Giridih, Jharkhand, from Pandri, while another suspect fled the scene before the raid could take place at a site in Jharkhand.
“This is a major success for the district police in cybercrime investigation,” police added.
Meanwhile, according to the East Garo Hills SP, the accused has been brought to Williamnagar for further interrogation.
