Training prog for Muga farmers

SHILLONG, Sep 21: The Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Mendipathar unit, organised ‘Farmers’ Field Day’ for Muga farmers on Tuesday at Mendipathar, North Garo Hills.
According to a statement, a total of 25 farmers from Mendipathar and Resubelpara attended the programme.
“The programme was emphasised more on scientific practical knowledge about Muga silkworm rearing activities,” the statement said.
District Sericulture Officer, SG Momin, who attended the training programme as the chief guest, held interactions with the farmers and informed about government interventions towards the welfare of the farmer fraternity.
