SBI launches scheme for Ri Bhoi villagers

NONGPOH, Sep 25: The State Bank of India, Umsning Branch, on Friday launched a scheme for cluster financing for agri products such as crops, and poultry and piggery produce.
According to the SBI, the scheme will help villagers uplift their economic livelihood as well will help the cluster of villagers to avail cheap loans with easy paperwork facilitated by the bank.
“The area under which the branch is now concentrated include villages of Amphreng, Muska, Amdubighat, Iymphuid and Amjong in Ri Bhoi where most of the population are engaged in agriculture and poultry-based related activities including farming,” a statement in this regard said.
