IIPH Shillong welcomes new batch of students

SHILLONG, Oct 1: The Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH) Shillong welcomed the third batch of Masters in Public Health (MPH) students at an inaugural programme held on the institute premises here.
Principal Secretary, Health, Sampath Kumar, was the chief guest on the occasion.
Director of the institute, Prof. Sandra Albert, welcomed the new students.
Speaking on the occasion, Sampath Kumar provided an overview of the new health policy adopted by Meghalaya referred to by the acronym MOTHER — Measurable Outcomes in Transforming Health sector through holistic approach with focus on women’s EmpoweRment.
