SHILLONG, Oct 4: East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, Isawanda Laloo tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.
“I tested positive for COVID-19. Will be isolating and working from home for some time. Thanks everyone for the good wishes,” Laloo said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, 112 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the state while the death toll increased by 1 to climb to 1,408.
The active tally stands at 1,494 while 78,957 have recovered so far. There were 164 recoveries on Monday.
63 fresh cases were reported in East Khasi Hills, 34 in West Khasi Hills, ten in West Jaintia Hills and five in Ri Bhoi.
