Govt committed to improve health sector: James

JOWAI, Oct 6: Health Minister, James Sangma, on Wednesday reiterated the state government’s priority towards the health sector in Meghalaya.
The health minister was speaking during the foundation-laying ceremony for the upgrade of Shangpung Public Health Centre to Community Health Centre in West Jaintia Hills.
The programme was also attended by local MLA, West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner, Laskein Block Development Officer, district and health officials.
James, during the programme, informed that following the upgrade, the health centre will be equipped with more specialists and better health facilities.
He also said that the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, is according priority to the health sector.
