SHILLONG, Oct 6: The Power department has reinstated Moonstar Shangpliang as the Director (Generation) of Meghalaya Power Generation Corporation Ltd (MePGCL), months after his suspension over alleged forging of age-proof documents.
With this, Director (Transmission) of MePTCL, EB Kharmujai, will now be relieved from his duties as the Director (Generation) of MePGCL.
It may be mentioned that Shangpliang was in May 2021 placed under suspension as the Director (Generation) of MePGCL on the charges that he had submitted dubious documents in support of his age and educational qualifications.
