NONGPOH, Oct 6: Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem has rebuffed reports which appeared in a section of the media stating that about 13-14 Congress MLAs have decided to leave the party, while calling them baseless and an attempt to cause confusion among the party leaders and functionaries.
He also reaffirmed his commitment to the Congress stating that he has no intention to leave the party.
“I want to clarify here once and for all that I have no intention to leave the Congress party. I have won from the Congress party and I shall remain with the party. I would like to urge our leaders, party workers and our beloved supporters not to believe in fake news,” the Congress MLA from Nongpoh said.
Referring to the upcoming bypolls in three constituencies, Mayralborn Syiem has called upon party leaders including MLAs and MDCs across the state to remain united, even as he pointed out that people’s expectation from the party is huge.
