57 new cases, three deaths

Shillong, Oct 13: The State on Wednesday recorded 57 new Covid-19 cases while three more patients succumbed to the viral infection taking the total death toll in the state to 1,428.
The total active cases now stand at 923 while 80,296 patients have recovered from the Covid-19 related infections with 162 new recoveries on the day.
42 new cases was reported in East Khasi Hills, eight in West Khasi Hills, five in West Garo Hills, four in South West Khasi Hills, three in West Jaintia Hills and Ri-Bhoi and one each in East Jaintia Hills and South West Garo Hills.
Among the new recoveries, 98 were reported from East Khasi Hills, 42 from West Khasi Hills, ten from Ri-Bhoi, six from South West Khasi Hills, three from West Garo Hills, two from West Jaintia Hills and one from East Jaintia Hills.
