SHILLONG, Nov 1: Acting on inputs, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force of East Khasi Hills and Mawlai Police Station personnel intercepted a vehicle at Mawiong Rim and apprehended two persons — T Ginlienthang and Lamminthang Paongam — with 100 soap cases of heroin meant to be delivered to a receiver here, who was also shortly detained around the same area as he was approaching to receive the consignment of contraband.
It has been ascertained that the illegal consignment was trafficked from Myanmar for sale in Shillong.
