WJH court convicts six murder-accused

JOWAI, Nov 4: The District and Sessions Court judge, West Jaintia Hills, has convicted six accused in different murder cases.
Marsanki Tariang of Iooksi Priang village was sentenced to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 50,000 for killing his wife by setting her ablaze. On the other hand, Dinesh Niang of Ionglwit Nongjngi was awarded life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 50,000 for another murder.
Another accused, Kyrshan Rymbai of Ringkyrtein village was convicted for murdering his uncle and was awarded life sentence along with a fine of Rs 10,000. Winlyroi Sungoh was also awarded life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 50,000 for his involvement in the murder of a 19-year-old girl.
A residence of Mootyrshiah village, Ribansuk Lamare, on the other hand, was fined Rs 50,000 for the killing of a fellow villager.
Emsalon Iakai of Iooksi Thlongmoo was fined with Rs 10,000 after her husband, Syrpai Ryngkhlem, died in a mysterious condition in April 2005 at her residence at Iooksi Thlongm.
