Conference
A two-day conference on Literature, Language, and Culture of North East India was organised by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya, in collaboration with Department of English Language Education, EFLU, and Spectrum: An International Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences. The programme, which concluded on Saturday, saw the participation of paper presenters and listeners from across India, who reflected the academic interest in North East literature, language and culture.

Statue unveil
The Chairman of University Grants Commission (UGC), Prof DP Singh, will unveil a statue of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on the premises of the University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM) on Sunday. According to a statement, Prof. Singh will also inaugurate a new block at the University.
