SHILLONG, Dec 11: West Shillong Congress MLA, Mohendro Rapsang, on Saturday distributed 25 sewing machines among the people of his constituency who sew clothes as part of their profession.
Speaking at a function at Jaiaw Langsning community hall during which the sewing machines were distributed, Rapsang informed that another 50 sewing machines will be distributed in the next two years.
Expressing his willingness to be of  help to the families who are skilled in sewing clothes, the MLA said, “I feel that they can earn a livelihood with these sewing machines instead of looking for other jobs.”
Rapsang also informed that all developmental projects, which have been proposed by the ten localities under the constituency, have been completed. “I have told them to submit proposal for any new developmental projects,” he said.
