Tributes paid to victims of Coonoor chopper crash

SHILLONG, Dec 13: Members of Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh (BGP), Meghalaya Chapter, have lamented the untimely demise of the first Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Bipin Rawat, among other victims of Coonoor chopper crash.
According to a statement, the Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh also paid tributes to the victims of the chopper crash during a programme on Sunday.
During the programme, the gathering was briefed about the fateful day following which Parisangh state president, CM Adhikari, Parisangh NE zonal president, JN Koirala, Parisangh secretary, HN Gautam, among other office-bearers paid tributes to the victims.
Parisangh working president, Shankar Pandey, in his address, highlighted the contributions of General Rawat to the nation, including his modernisation plan to bring synergy among the armed forces and enhance their overall combat capabilities.
