U-15 Inter-District tourney begins

Shillong, Dec 20: The Meghalaya Cricket Association’s U-15 Inter District Tournament began on Monday with four matches divided between two venues.
In Zone 2, North Garo Hills won the toss and chose to field first. East Garo Hills set their opponents a target of 122 to win but NGH were restricted to 106.
The second match saw Tura District Cricket Association bat first after winning the toss. They posted 153 and dismissed West Khasi Hills for 31.
In Zone 1, East Khasi Hill won the toss and opted to bat first but were skittled for 62, with Vinit Patel taking 4/6 for East Jaintia Hill Cricket Association, who then chased down the target with nine wickets.
The second match then saw Shillong Cricket Association put in to bat first by All Jaintia Hills Cricket Association and they posted 175/6 in 20 overs. In response, AJCA were restricted to 100/8.
