LaLiga Football School technical director visits Nongstoin centre

NONGSTOIN, Dec 21: LaLiga Football School technical director, Miguel Casal along with Abhijeet Oberoi, Business manager of India on Track, a sports management company visited LaLiga Football School India and its centre in Nongstoin, on Monday.
Run by Pyndengrei Sport Club, the aim of the football school is to develop football at the grass roots level and impart training to the coaches at its centre.
Speaking on the vicit, Casal said, “We are trying to develop the kids as much as possible. Not just in how they play but also as individuals with Laliga values through holistic development, so that they become good footballers even if they don’t aren’t able to play at the professional level.
Oberoi, meanwhile, said that India on Track is looking to provide the best grass roots structure for kids across the country. He added, “Right now, we have our presence in 13 plus states across the country and we have trained approximately over 20 thousand players. This is our first time in Meghalaya with few partners, and we plan to take LaLiga Football School to the next level.”
Oberio added that the primary objective of LaLiga Football School is to conduct programs besides scouting for young, promising footballers before sending their best finds to Spain to compete in trials.
